Understand how to
- Carry out three types of towing:
- Sail/mast across SB hull
- Astern — with and without a helm in the dinghy
- Alongside — with and without a helm in the dinghy - Recognise the dangers of the propeller and how to stay safe
- Safely approach and pick up an individual in the waterReturn the individual safely to their dinghy
Have practice in:
- Towing dinghies
- Orientating a capsized dinghy into the wind
- Recovering a capsized dinghy — with and without crew assistance
- Recovering an inverted dinghy
